Welcome to The Sanctuary! We hope you will find something useful as well as interesting here.
We call this "Outmate Sanctuary" because, for every person serving time behind bars, there is another serving time, in their own way, on the outside. These "outmates" will serve on the outside for as long as the inmate serves on the inside. When anyone is incarcerated, other lives are disrupted.
Besides a message board/discussion forum we will have a good collection of links to sites within the MDOC and to groups and organizations offering help and encouragement to the families and friends of the incarcerated.
We see this as a place to come for help, understanding, suggestions, or just to talk with someone who is facing the same obstacles you are confronted with.
The site will be continually updated as we learn more and receive suggestions from those who participate in the project.

The Mississippi Justice Project is an association of three distinct organizations, each designed to address a particular issue of importance to Mississippi Inmates and their Families.
OutMateSanctuary.com provides on-line resources and support to families/friends/supporters of inmates while INFAMMS is a Real Time/Real World organization working to improve conditions for both inmates and their families.
We all share a common message board/discussion forum which we call "The Sanctuary" . The public is invited to participate.
